Sustainability Advisory and Research

Dr. Ir.* Emma H. E. Fromberg is a Research Fellow at King’s College London’s Centre for Sustainable Business, with extensive experience in sustainable business and sustainable value chains.
Trained as an Industrial Design Engineer and Strategic Product Designer, she explores how business-led activities can drive system-level change towards a more regenerative, inclusive, and abundant economy.
Her doctoral research investigated how lessons from nature and ecology can inform a reimagining of the economy, resulting in the development of a tool on Ecological Design Thinking for a Circular Economy.
Previously, she was Course Director in Sustainable Business at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), where she led the Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business. She continues to contribute to CISL as an academic supervisor on the Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Business.
Earlier in her career, she led open education programmes for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and the design and development of a circular economy MOOC for Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability.
