Through her career in sustainability, Emma Fromberg became interested in how human life impacts the polar regions' fragile ecosystems. She started spending time in the Arctic after joining a selection and training programme for her first expedition team in 2017. After a year of training and preparation in the UK, started to prepare for her first training expeditions.

Through Instagram, she documented her progress towards polar expeditioning on ski. Through her expeditions, she seeks to share her love for the polar regions and inform about its changing climate.
